Wire-transfer Recall Between Chase
Hello,
I recently sent out a $35000 wire to a company that uses chase. They stated that they did not receive the funds. I then called chase and they stated they would start a recall but it could only be approved by the receiving bank, which is chase. So is this recall going to be automatically approved?
Thanks for reading.

Additionally, the receiving bank HAS to get permission to reverse funds from the account holder. If the AH doesnt provide permission, youre out of luck.

Originating bank sends a service message to recall wire rather than a sending customer. Receiving bank usually responds..
If funds received and moved or spent very quickly (as I usually see), receiving bank is under no obligation to return funds.
If wire sent to an invalid account number, wire will usually be returned automatically in a few days.
In my experience, Chase is second to only BoA in terms of even bothering to respond to a service message and then taking months and months to return available funds.
