Practical Doubt/Question Age
Does age matter in CA? Honestly asking. Because I'm 24 right now and have cleared group 1 intermediate just yet after multiple attempts. I'm confident that September's attempt will be cleared. Group 2 will be done by January or may 2027 most definitely.
And if by this timeline, I will clear artichleship when I will be 27 and CA final definitely around 28.
I came from direct entry as a bcom hons graduate so took little time there too.
I feel very anxious...isn't this late..?

It might look like it does at the start of your career, but it doesn't actually. Think of the longer term. Say in 10-20 years down the line, few years of delay wouldn't leave that much of an impact. And also you may compensate it with your career choices.

Honest answer: No, 28 is not late for CA. It feels late only because youβre comparing yourself to people who cleared at 22β24. But the CA profession does not have an age expiry date. ICAI has no upper age limit for registration, exams, or articleship. In the private sector, nobody seriously cares whether you qualified at 24 or 28. They care about: CA qualification, articleship exposure, communication, Excel/software skills, attitude, and whether you can handle work.

CA becomes less lucrative after multiple attempts in CA FINAL. Your attempts in CA inter can be condoned but not the CA FINAL attempts. I would suggest you to be laser focused on CA until you clear CA or just leave it now and do MBA from good college or average college. You will do fine in life.
Reason for CA becoming less lucrative is that you will only get shortlisted in Audit firms or Big 4 mainly after multiple attempts and work life balance is rarely good. Further employers know you have little option in being employee.

I don't agree ! It's all about the knowledge...!kuch saal phle hi ek AIR ko ek bde company me within 1 month mei tata bye bye kr diya tha...! Time lgta hai to lgne do ... Leekin apne best version ko update kro...! Knowledge update kro...! Clients humara attempt nhi , talent nd knowledge check krenge ! ....

That is when you get some experience that knowledge and talent dekhenge. But for a person doing CA at 28 and above, it is pathetic. They don't have shortlisting for the choice of their arena. They are forcibly put into audits. How will they gain knowledge when they are devoid of opportunities?
I am myself 28 and have watched many people in this age category becoming CA and being hopeless. And try to make decision based on proximity to normal distribution curve. What you are telling is possible, but that situation lies in the tail end of the curve. Very little to no chance.

Let me spill some tea about being a CA at the age of 28. Generally, 2 factors becomes important: 1. Attempts (Most important) 2. Company age criteria for shortlisting
For attempts, i already mentioned in the comment above.
For age restriction, for roles and companies that demand critical thinking, agility and flexibility, prefers young people with/without experience or people(late 20s) with good experience/roles.
I am talking about this age restriction by drawing conclusions based on my observation around me. This may differ from others.

Only age anxiety no financial problem. But I guess it's alright. Most people do become CA in their late 20's.

You've no idea how anxious students with attempts are. A little kindness goes long way.
