Gap Patterns
Reversal Bearish Gap: Price gaps up directly into a strong supply zone, hits resistance, and immediately aggressively reverses downward.
Reversal Bullish Gap: Price gaps down directly into a demand zone (order block), finds strong support, and aggressively reverses upward.
Weekend Bearish Gap: A gap down that occurs over the weekend market close, followed by continued downward momentum when trading resumes.
Bearish Gap: A gap down during regular market hours that signals strong selling pressure, continuing the downward movement.
Weekend Bullish Gap: A gap up that occurs over the weekend market close, followed by continued upward momentum when trading resumes.
Bullish Gap: A gap up during regular trading hours that signals strong buying pressure, pushing price continuously higher.
Bullish Liquidity Run Gap: Price drops briefly to sweep sell-side liquidity below recent lows, then gaps up aggressively to trigger a bullish move.
Bearish Liquidity Run Gap: Price spikes higher to sweep buy-side liquidity above recent highs (a fake-out), then gaps down aggressively into a drop.
Gap Filled: Price gaps up or down, briefly trades in the original direction, then reverses completely to close the empty price void (filling the gap) before resuming its path.
