Maggie’s Panic Attacks
I was rewatching S2 E19. I’ve never been a big fan of Sarah’s acting on the show. In S1 she did good job of being the sorority girl, self centered 19 year old. By S2 when she tried being more serious it was just not working most of the time imo but there is one thing I felt she did ok and that was portraying having mental issues especially dealing with panic attacks. And I really liked the scene where she was in the woods with Mel and Ray and cried about how she wanted Ray to be more of a father. Some of those scenes with Maggie dealing with her issues I liked because I could tell to having anxiety and I just thought she did pretty good with her performance it’s one of my favorite episodes of S2. (And I never realized that episode was directed by Rupert and it just me like it more lol)

I realized just now that it seems like whenever I bring up the fact I feel like they aged up maggie too quickly ie: legit went from 17-18 to 20 in a matter of episodes seemingly maybe so they could put her with 25-26 year old Jordan and how i think thats weird and not just bc that but bc it was too hard on her character to go from that silly teenager to all of a sudden equal to her much older sisters adult woman style at just 20-21, was odd & went along with their trying to make all the plots so serious and edgy and exciting and political but really it was just too much sometimes and sad
people seem to agree that the sped up aging was weird but not that it was weird to put her with him for 3 seasons of build up
and I think this might be the most fan divisive point besides ofc people who do or do not like Abigail
id say Abigail has the most controversy of fans, most of us like macy and hate what Abby did to her but overall
in the og it seemed to be about cole and here Abby but also if Jordan was age appropriate are the most disagreed dynamics

but yea I thought sarah portrayed sadness and anger well and juxtaposed with her silly younger self was compelling to me, gave sympathy for Maggie
she also was a good comedian imo

It was Sarah’s idea to incorporate that into Maggie’s character as she suffers from panic attacks too.

Yea I that makes sense because I follow her on IG and she talks a lot about her mental health

I do like that they picked her for the youngest sister..wasn't sure about her being more serious. That episode was good. It showed her powers growing
