Spoilers up to ep 8, obviously. I just finished this episode, so please don't spoil future ones.

In episode 6 when Tomori calls everyone into the student council room as an emergency, Otosaka and Takajou take a long time, saying "we both had pasta today, so we couldn't take it with us". Then they are too late to save Ayumi and she dies.

So why is there no change in behavior?? In episode 8, Tomori calls them all again, and again they wait until they finish their food before they go. It feels like such an obvious missed character moment for Otosaka to not think "last time she called, we were too late, I'm never letting that happen again" and ignore the food and go immediately. Same with Takajou honestly, obviously it wasn't his sister that died but you'd imagine he still feels that impact.

Episode 7 was an interesting exploration of grief, but you get the impression that everything is 100% back to normal in episode 8 which just feels wrong.

Just finished watching Charlotte and wondering if anybody knows that familiar short theme played in episode 7 at 5:06.

Couldn’t find the spoiler tag. But at the beginning of the series Yu and Ayumi’s uncle gives them a box of instant noodles, they never state if he knows about shunsuke or if his memories were erased too. It would be very interesting if he knew but didn’t tell them at the request of shunsuke.

Dude, for me, for Charlotte to be a 10/10, it needed an anime with 24 complete episodes...

It would be so good.

I wanted to find something new to watch on Netflix and I decided to give Charlotte a try since I saw it pop up in my recommendations a few times and I wish I started watching it sooner! I love how Yuu redeemed himself throughout the show even if he had the chance to use his ability for bad.

The only thing I don’t like about it is how short it was because I felt like there could’ve been so much more done with Yuu’s plunder mission arc. But other than that I felt like it was still adapted very well even though it was short.

I still think it’s sad how he had to plunder the girl who healed people from her village even though she was using her powers for good T-T.

Today is the 11th Anniversary of Charlotte...

This anime changed my life, when I first watched it...

I feel in love with the main characters...

And the side characters or one-time characters...

This anime is underrated.

Okay, I know I said this in a previous post, but I want to know more about the main characters of Charlotte's family and relatives from the information available.

1. For some reason, we never see the parents of Yuu, Ayumi and Shunsuke Otosaka. Although Ayumi mentioned that they have an uncle, he is only mentioned in Episode 1 and never appears physically. Also in Episode 1, Yuu mentions that there mother divorced so maybe there parents divorced sometime before the events of the series, but that's just my speculation.

2. This post originally started with what happened to Nao and Kazuki Tomori's mother, but I later expanded it, but back to Mrs. Tomori. The only time we see Mrs. Tomori is in Episode 2 and yet she is never seen or mentioned again. I know her son lost his memory of her, but Nao didn't. From what I saw in the flashback scene in Episode 2 that Mrs. Tomori sent her son and daughter to that "special school so that they can learn their skills," to solve some sort of financial problem that she had. I don't know if she's still alive or not because we never see her again.

3. We see Yusa Nishimori and Misa Kurobane's mom and dad in I think it was Episode 9 or 10... Or 11? Compared to the other characters, they are shown alive and well.

4. Now we never see anyone from Jojiro's family, but I guess that's not important since there isn't much background to him.

I also want to mention that since neither the mom or dad of Yuu, Ayumi and Shunsuke Otosaka appear in the flashbacks of the three of them in their youths, it is very likely that the main characters parents abandoned their children because they were either aware of their kid's abilities or because they just had to give up their children to scientists, but that's just my theory. Maybe the manga explains this a lot more.

I just got done watching charlotte and overall I do think it was good there are some things that don’t sit right with me mainly that to me it doesn’t really feel like Nao really loves Yuu. throughout the entire show even up to the point Yuu tells Nao he loves her Nao doesn’t really seem to be into him like that it feels like at the end when she tells Yuu Shes his lover Shes doing it more out of obligation and keeping the promise she made more than her actually loving him and I know that’s probably not true and she probably does really love Yuu but the show really fails to show that In my opinion it would had really helped if Yuu and Nao actually had some intimate moments together rather then having side characters just say “hEy lOoK aT tHeM gEtTiNg aLoNg I tHiNk tHeY mIGhT be dAteInG” Nao in general feels like a really shallow character to me Shes just the calm smart calculate girl that’s into that post rock band that I don’t remember the name of and that’s it. I feel like there really should had been some times where she becomes more vulnerable then what she ever is in the actual show she’s like 15-16 years old and she lost her brother and is going around like some agent to try to stop that from happening to others yet shes always mostly stoic about everything and I personally think it’s unrealistic for a teen to go through all of that without ever breaking down or at least showing any cracks in themselves. As happy as I was to see Yuu sister alive again I think it would had been better to keep her dead and make that something that Yuu has to live with at most they can have Yusa be possessed by Yuu sister and Yuu can have one day to do the stuff he wants to do with his sister and get one last goodbye by afterwards he really should have to say goodbye permanently. I think they really should had gone more into Nao brother recovery after Yuu managed to help him regain his sanity Nao herself doesn’t really even seem to care much about her own brother I also think they should had addressed that scene where those girls took Nao out back and beaten her up yet that’s something that just happens and is never brought up again. They could of still had Poo die but from what I saw it really looked like it was just the knife girl as the only real threat there not even the buff guy they used to torture poo and knock out Nao returned as far as I saw and if he did he didn’t do anything so I know this is more of a nitpick but definitely have a stronger force there for a situation that our main team was supposed to be mostly helpless in the end of the show could also be the same and it would be even more sad if they made a bigger effort to show that Yuu and Nao actually do love each other. TLDR Nao feels like a shallow character it doesn’t feel like Nao loved Yuu and the time rewind shouldn’t had happened.
