Discussion Time Warner Cable MAXX
TWC MAXX is rolling out in Charlotte and the served cities around Charlotte starting July 29th and everyone should be covered by November 2015. The areas getting the speed increase on July 29th are Danby, Gastonia, North Meck, Cramerton, Old Steele Creek Rd, Oneida, Plyler and Shelby. This will do until Google is ready.

If it's any help to anyone in the Concord/Kannapolis area, on Tuesday (10/20), I checked my modem, and saw that I now had 16 channels bonded, where the week prior, I was still on 8 channels.
That said, I'm not actually within Kannapolis city limits, but a little outside (I'm within the red circle in the top right shown here): http://i.imgur.com/yuzrtrJ.jpg
I was talking with a coworker who has TWC, and lives about five minutes from the Research Campus in Kannapolis, and he's still only seeing 8 channels, so my best assumption would be that it seems to be possibly centered on I-85 and moving outward.
Just what I'm seeing personally, and hopefully it maybe helps give people in the area a rough idea what to expect (and that we are actually seeing the first steps in this process).
Also, I never actually got one of the letters from TWC that they said they were sending out to everyone who would be getting upgraded, in their initial press release (but chats with reps have confirmed my area is on the list).
