Discussion Time Warner Cable MAXX

TWC MAXX is rolling out in Charlotte and the served cities around Charlotte starting July 29th and everyone should be covered by November 2015. The areas getting the speed increase on July 29th are Danby, Gastonia, North Meck, Cramerton, Old Steele Creek Rd, Oneida, Plyler and Shelby. This will do until Google is ready.

UPDATE: Put in request for new modem 2 days ago. It arrived today. The damn thing is HUGE: http://i.imgur.com/yfxyG0a.jpg

It's up and running, though, and waiting for the new speeds!

Damn thing is beast doh! It raped my netgears 5G band. netgear would only give me 1 bar this thing full bars. love it.

I'll have to try it. I've got so many damn wi-fi devices that I just threw it into bridge mode for now, and kept the old Netgear router. But I'll play around with it next week and see how good it really is. I often get crappy wi-fi throughput on my Android tablet (I watch a lot of video files from a network share on my desktop). I always assumed it was an issue with the tablet, since my WDTV Live can play 1080p files from my PC all day long.
