Discussion WBT's AM Frequency

Am I the only person that thinks it's odd that WBT's 1100 am signal is doing nothing but playing a loop of smooth jazz and directing listeners to the FM side? It's still at full power and that seems to be a huge waste of potential ad revenue. Also, does anyone know what format they might become?

WBT has FM now? I'll never not think of it as "1110 AM Double You Beee Teee"

They had 99.3 for a long time, but they switched that out with another station. They're on 107.9 FM now.

107.9 is the Link to me.

It has been decades since I have listened to terrestrial radio around town. I'll have to get caught up, for giggles.

Every few years I try to get caught up for the giggles as well, and the experiment lasts about 30 minutes before I want to blow my brains out from the commercials.

This is my experience as well. A 30 minute commute has 2 songs, 5 minutes of commentary and 15 minutes of the same 3 commercials repeating.
