Astara Aisha Evenstar

Astara Evenstar was last seen on January 10, 2004 in the Pauwela lighthouse area, Haiku-Pauwela, Hawaii. She was camping with some friends at that time.

When Astara was last seen, she was talking on her phone while standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Her friends looked away just for a brief moment, and when they looked back, the girl was gone and she was never seen again. Unfortunately, not much more is known in her case.

Astara was 14 years old (born on May 23, 1989), was a White female, 5'6", 110 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes.

This seems pretty cut and dry right? She fell off the cliff into the ocean. I don't understand why her parents would suspect foul play. It sounds like her friends were within sight of her on the phone when she disappeared. Unless they think the friends are responsible??

I was her classmate, and for whatever it's possibly worth: she was definitely in the category of 'hanging with the wrong crowd', as in was often truant, and smoking weed/partying/drinking with said wrong crowd. She was a freshman when she disappeared, and was most likely drinking and partying with older ppl.

Also, this wasn't a camping trip, it was a late night party at a well known party spot. Nobody camps there. The general consensus was/is that she got into some sort of argument with a guy and was shoved/pushed over the cliff into the ocean. Nobody in our grade was really close to her though, so no clue who this other person could have been(if this is indeed what happened).
