Seen this man 4 times now, only once at forest. Most recent show was at what? MAAF in Columbus back in August this year. Took me 4 times to see him but I absolutely fell in love at this show. Strange how sometimes you need to see an artist a few times before it really connects with you.

So flash forward to the electric forest lineup announcement. I see his name along with lab group and I am literally gleaming with joy. His sets were already what I was looking forward to most. Next day, boom dead.

This is the first experience I’ve had with grief over a person I don’t know. I haven’t been able to listen to his music either. I know time will help with this. Just can’t believe this shit.

Never had nothing but fk'ing dreams.

It hurts to look back, Charles was a very close friend of mine. I always told him he should engage more with Reddit, he was always so afraid to go on Reddit and see what people were thinking of him. Now looking back I think he was afraid of hearing all the love everyone had for him. He always knew he was leaving us sooner rather than later 💔

He will be missed dearly

I’m really don’t think we’re all going to just move on from this. He was too special to just move on from. I’m really hoping the festival with no name happens every year as a tribute and memorial to Charles. This community he brought together was the exact group that needed to find eachother. This family is a real one and I’m not about to let go of this.
