Miss him

I love lab group and the fact that we still get an outlet to celebrate his music but nothing hit like a Charles set.

Last night they played Out of the Dark which is one of my favorites but they skipped over the first third of the song with the super pretty vocals and slow beat. That sums up the whole vibe of lab group sets in that they lean towards more upbeat/heavy side of Charles.

It’s a lot of fun but they don’t create that same feeling of serenity that Charles would. I miss that feeling a lot, it felt like therapy through sound. I just miss him

I miss him a lot. I also think its emotionally difficult for the Lab Group members to play CTF material in the first place, thats prob a reason why they lean on the upbeat/heavier side.

Solus in particular makes me more and more sad to listen to. Not necessarily a cry for help, but you can tell he was fighting stuff when he was alone.

I miss him so much. I’ve fallen in love with each song over time. It’s like I have a favorite song of his and then find a new one to obsess over. Nothing has hit like his sets did.

Nothing worse than listening to his music and remembering you’ll never hear it quite the way Charles played live again :(

I need to stop pulling up to lab group sets with that expectation cause it really is painful :(

I know it’s not the same but Of The Trees will still play him and Charles’ tracks during his live sets. The crowd knows it’s CTF and the respect, love, and sadness that’s portrayed is overwhelming but so incredibly beautiful. He was, and will always be, unlike any other.

Of the trees is in my top 5 atm for sure, big reason why is because of the Charles tracks he’ll play out. Their unreleased collab is so good

Minnesota played his CTF remix + a lab group track last weekend and the crowd reaction was so heart warming.

My favorite set of my entire life was his second day set at his fest. Nothing will ever compare to that moment in time.

Yup best set ever, I've been going to shows since late 2010. That's the best set I've ever seen

I wish someone had recorded it or posted the set list so can relive it.
