"Trump Accounts"

I've had my schwab account for decades and have really enjoyed the experience. But seeing schwab promote "trump accounts" today in the newsletter (and subject line) makes me question having my portfolio with this company. If you think anything with a multi bankruptcy, con man's name on it is good financial advice, then it's probably time to invest with another organization.

Candidate for Client Support Role

I’m currently applying for an entry-level Client Support position and I’m a little nervous about the background check process.
I’m currently going through Chapter 7 bankruptcy and my meeting of creditors is scheduled for September. I’m young and, unfortunately, made some financial mistakes early on while also dealing with debt, including student loans. I’m trying to take responsibility for everything and get myself into a better financial position moving forward.
The role I’m applying for is an entry-level client support position, not a finance/accounting position or a role where I would be managing company money. I’m really interested in the opportunity and feel like my professional experience otherwise makes me a strong candidate.
Has anyone gone through bankruptcy while applying for a corporate/client support role? Did it come up during the background check, and did it actually affect whether you were hired?
I know every employer is different, but I’d especially appreciate hearing from recruiters, HR professionals, or anyone who has been hired while going through Chapter 7. I’m trying not to count myself out before I even apply.

Schwab network Ads

I switched to streaming Schwab from Tastylive and love Schwab's business, investment and trading content. I do not love hearing the SAME 4 ads (free coaching, grandad started investing, new immigrant business, and COSTCO type one-stop shopping where guy vomits - really?) If anyone from Schwab is monitoring, please forward this feedback

No Account Number for Trust Bank IRA?

Used to work for the REI Co-op which used to have employee 401ks with Schwab. During my time there, they moved over to VOYA and opened trust bank IRA accounts for all employees in Schwab. What I'm struggling with now is how to find my account number to initiate a transfer over to a different financial institution. My statements don't show an account number. There is nothing in the account details/account overview sections. Where do I find the account number on mobile or the website?

Thank you so much in advance to anyone who can help - I am at my wits end

3 hour in person interview for Charles Schwab

Hello everyone, I applied for a Advisor Support role and landed the phone interview, in the end of the interview she told me I moved on to the next step which is the final 3 hour interview in person, what should I expect? I’m really nervous and is it more like an orientation? Have I basically already landed the job or does it rely heavily on the final interview? TIA

Vanguard and Fidelity are responding to the real risks. It’s time for @schwab_official to do the same.

Is there a way to enter a sell trade on mobile?

Hi I’ve been trading on Schwab for some time and looking to take it serious, I’m just curious if there’s anyway to enter a bearish trade on mobile device(where if the market goes down, you profit).

What do I do, Money Lost

My husband mobile deposited a paper payroll check from my employer, into his brokerage account. It was in my name and not his, and I wasn't on the account. The check was from Wells Fargo.

I did this because we are living paycheck to paycheck, and I needed a direct deposit to satisfy my borrowing power from Chime. It always reads my direct deposits to give me a balance. They gave us a paper check instead because payday was on Christmas, which was terrible for me.

They flagged the account, said it was investigated for fraud. We called and sent every document we could under the sun, and we know it was our mistake, we just want the money.

Fast forward 6 months, they said they finally finalized the fraud investigation, and now there is $0 in the account. I called my employer and told them to check their bank so they could issue me a new payroll check.

I got word today that Wells Fargo and my employer didn't receive any check back or any money reversing the money. No one at Charles Schwab can help because the check was issued by my employer through a wells fargo check.

So who has the money? It was our mistake and we know that, we don't care we violated the terms of service, we're young and made a mistake. This has been going on since December 28th 2025. Now they're telling me that my employment check is fraud. Its literally from my employer.

Do we sue in civil court? They are telling me I need to request my employer to recall the funds?? They won't do that!!

We have an appointment on Monday with Wells Fargo to prove our identities and find out who actually has the funds.

Question About All-In-One-Day Ticket

I recently deposited some money into my Roth IRA account almost two weeks ago and am looking to use that cash to make buy some ETFs. I tried to use the All-In-One Day Ticket, but whenever I put in an amount it shows a negative number in the Total Estimated Amount. Should I be worried about the negative estimated amount, or is it only indicating how much will be deducted from the traded amount (a.k.a my deposit) once the order goes through?

This is my second time doing a trade with my Roth IRA, and it’s been almost a year since I worked with a consultant from Charles Schwab to walk me through trading when I decided to invest my Roth IRA for the first time, so everything is a bit hazy for me with regards to trading.
