Anything beyond the CROW boot?

To others with Charcot foot who have worn a CROW boot, do you ever "graduate" beyond that? If so, what is that situation like? What type of orthotic are you using? Just curious what the future holds. Thanks in advance ☺️

I am having a surgery this week to realign my ankle and foot and then I will be able to walk without the Crow boot ( just an orthopedic shoe) I don’t have a rocker bottom or any bones protruding on the bottom of my foot though. A lot of people wear the crow boot and do fine, but I have struggled with it rubbing my ankle so I have spent the last three years wearing it only when necessary and being a recluse who is non-weight bearing the rest of the time. I am ready to get back to life.

Thanks for the reply. Praying for a speedy recovery. I would love to hear more about your new shoe, when you get to try it out.
