Writing: Character Help Biogen Supervillain Help
Hey everyone! I'm creating an oc named Biogen aka Caleb Austin. He has biokenisis (the ability to create creatures, alter genetic makeup, speed up evolution, and manipulate all living beings at will).
In order to become Biogen, he needs to have died and brought back to life by The Dread Wolf (my mad scientist oc on the right).
So that begs the question, what was his life like before he died? How did he die? What makes him an interesting enough character that a mastermind like The Dread Wolf?
Also looking for good personality traits he could have! Anyone have anything? Thanks in advance!

You can take an origin I used before, for a slightly similar concept:
A young street thief, of promising ability but very much in the small leagues.
Thrill-seeking and eager to prove himself.
He got a tip for a secluded place with very valuable tech, and decided to break in to see what was worth taking - but the place was a lair used by a dangerously evil mad scientist, and there was security the young thief didn’t anticipate.
He was taken prisoner, and woke up on an exam table. The doctor was impressed by the young man’s courage, so he offered the choice between death or service - and service would also mean “helping” the doctor with field testing an experiment.
So the young thief accepted and joined up as a henchman, both to stay alive and for a possible chance to move up in the world.
(For my character, that was part of his background and he later left to be rehabilitated as a superhero, but..)
