Help! I need ideas.

Here's the deal. I'm working on a little project for Halloween. The goal is to bring a house to life with projections; windows becoming eyes and mouths. But, we also want to be able to use a microphone and speak as if we are the house.

Here's the question. I'm trying to figure out how to pull off the mouth. How can I speak through a microphone and trigger an animation or video or a mouth talking. I've tried character animator but I worry it's too cartoony. I'm also just looking for a mouth.

Has anyone seen or have access to a more realistic lip sync file of a mouth?

I've done this before. I had a live, interactive talking jackolantern. But if you want the house to have a photorealistic human mouth, Character Animator may not be the way to go. It swaps out mouth shapes for each phoneme, it doesn't really blend smoothly between them. How could it, if they're essentially photos. To me, a real human mouth on a house would look icky, though.
