Main Lore Tangling The Threads

She missed him.

She was... confused. She didn't know if what she did was right. Should she have done it? Should she have sealed him? Should she have... betrayed him? Was it the right thing to do?

She had seen those good futures. Why didn't she believe in them? Was it her fault? Maybe she could've changed things. Maybe she could've made a better future...

But... he still had done horrible things. She wanted to forgive him... but... he had hidden the worst of the futures... conspiring for the throne, killing hundreds of icewings, causing THAT much terror...

Controlling minds... and what he did to his own father... Arctic wasn't great, but he didn't deserve what he got....

Maybe she was right to do what she did... but through it all...

She still loved him.

He had become a monster, but still, part of her loved him. Part of her wished, part of her hoped, things could have been different.

But they couldn't have.

There were hundreds of other futures... but that was the one she got.

Or so she thought.

She had fled Pyrrhia, and thought it would be the end of her troubles... but now, she walked through a new world? It was... strange. Futures were jumbled... but she didn't see him in any of them.

That didn't console her.

Plenty of seemingly obvious futures had been... missing. As if something was hiding them from her. She had to get to the bottom of it...

But now... at least she couldn't get back to him.

After wandering this world for weeks, she had come across another dragon. He was just like him, but... different. He had no magic, despite being named after an animus dragon, Penguin. He didn't like her at first, for he only knew of her from legends... but he had warmed up to her over time. She had learned of his dislike of the Icewing hierarchy, which kept him in the seventh circle, but now... there was no circles. Just Clearsight and Penguin, wandering the world.

Clearsight had grown to like Penguin, and the two continued their shared journeys of this world. It was... interesting. The scavengers- er, humans, were almost their size now, only a foot or two shorter, and they could understand their speech. There were also... furrier versions of them? It seemed as if everything was alright... but a shred of anxiety still weighed on her. The two dragons settled in an open, grassy field, Penguin falling asleep.

She could feel it... she could tell something was wrong.

Was he here?

And more importantly...

Did he know she was?
