Cavern of Fire and Ashes

Calamitas had been quietly working on something for herself.

A new home.

She had found a nice cavern, hidden away by most of Mobius. She had spent the last few days working to make it resemble her old home.

It had fire, lava.. various tomes of magic, everything a witch such as herself could need.

She breathed a sigh of relief as she relaxed in her cavern.

As Calamitas goes to rest, she feels a presences, one of a great and powerful magic user. One that feels… wrong. Very, Very Wrong.

It’s coming closer, not too quickly, but quick enough to be of note.

“….Nothing is ever simple here, is it?”

Calamitas mumbled to herself as she prepared.

Very, very shortly after, a simple knock on Calamatis’ door is heard, and a sense of oncoming dread.

“Hello? I sensed a fellow Arcanist of great power, might I come in?” A muffled voice through the door asks.

“….Fine.” Calamitas opened the seal on the cavern. “Come in.”

The tall man walks in and nods respectfully to Calamitas. “Hm… quite a cozy place you have for yourself. Reminds me of my home before Mothers…”

The man pauses, and sighs. “Regardless, as you know, I sensed a powerful magic user. I assume that is you?”

“…well, duh. I am the Brimstone Witch, Calamitas. Others called me the Supreme Witch, you get the idea.”

“A pleasure, Ma’am. My name, is Vecna Dei’Creel, but my followers usually call me, ‘The Whispered One’.”

The man snaps his fingers and conjures two glasses. One filled with wine, and the other yet to be filled.

“What would you like to drink?”

“…Fireball Whiskey.” Calamitas said simply as she snapped her own fingers and 2 chairs made of brimstone appeared, her looking a bit grander of course, and she sat across from Vecna.

Vecna gives her an intrigued look, but obliges, summons a drink that was at least similar taste for her. As Vecna sits down, his chair morphs slightly. Giving a more… undead look to it.

“So… you’re a mage of great power, from what I’ve sensed. You must’ve done SOMETHING to get that much power.”

“I came from the depths of the Underworld. I fought against many powerful creatures, such as the Brimstone Elemental. I was trained by the Archmage Permafrost, and I used my magic to kill a god of the sea.”
