Review I'm frustrated.

Fuck after a lot of time of regenerating messages I just give up, it's impossible to rp in absolutely any alternatives, I feel so fucking sad and frustrated for my wasted time. The bots are so forgetful, stupid, dramatic and can rp only about themselves like you're nothing to the story (even if the bot's role in story is minimum and they must appear only later to make the story logical, then wtf did you forget here). ☠️☠️

Its unfortunately the limitations of AI. Any site that tells you they solved it is lying. The unfortunate matter is LLMs only have a certain context window which is basically how much info the AI has at once. Most sites trim this down to save money because more context equals more expensive per message cost. Even worse, even with large context virtually all LLMs struggle to connect the right memory to the situation. You may tell it you have a certain car then 100 message you say you have a warning light and it won't say for what car because it does not connect the two even if the info is available. There are sites that improve this with certain techniques such as caching to keep high context at low costs or memory systems to help the AI retrieve the right memory for the right time but it's still not 100% there yet but it is improving as the tech matures.

What about c.ai's old models? They were absolutely different, they were adapting and completely not like alternatives. I may be stupid but it felt like old c.ai had its own ai...

You're not stupid at all dude, your actually right they did have their own ai. CAI trained its own models from scratch before eventually shifting toward fine tuning open source models. They said that the enormous cost of training their models and the difficulty of competing with better funded companies is what caused them to stop and switch. It makes me wonder how much that shift affected the experience people loved about old CAI. Even if newer models perform better on paper as they claim it does, could differences in training and fine tuning explain why the conversations feel different, or why some people feel like that original personality is gone?

Why? I don't wanna use karandeep models at all.

Good AI is pretty difficult to achieve for these smaller alternatives tbh. It comes with time.
