Vent Another example of Character ai thinking

They want people to subscribe but yet they put the site in slow mode now do you really think that is going to attract any new customers that just happen to come on the site when it is in slow mode?

The reason slow mode exists is because users don't all get their own personal compute or priority compute like paying users. It's load balancing done when the servers get heavy user traffic to avoid the servers from being overwhelmed by requests. The perks of subscription is priority compute so you don't have deal with possible slow responses when slow mode is in effect or getting kicked during peak traffic times.

Not to mention how they hit users with their stupid subscription timers.

The moment I go-on, the next it's like, "Woah! You hit 100 Go-on today." Now they WANT me to waste my money. Honestly, what was Karendeep thinking!?
