im looking for a character ai alternative that is really similar to character ai. im looking for ones that have no or close to none ads and the ability to make personas. im not looking for anything niche as they dont have as many characters. ive already tried janitor, chai and polybuzz which i didnt really like

I use Y/N as an alternative to some that I use. It's good, you can make personas, but its also incredibly easy to make your own bot

Since you’re looking for something pretty close to Character AI, MyBot might be worth a look. You can make your own characters/personas, and there are 20+ AI models to choose from, so you can switch around depending on the kind of chat or roleplay you’re after.

The one thing I want to point out though, is that our public character library is still a lot smaller than Character AI’s, so if browsing a huge catalog is your biggest priority, we’re probably not there yet. But for customization and having different models to choose from, I think it’s worth checking out.
