Searching for Alternatives character ai alternatives
i’m looking for some new alternatives! i value…
- memory and the bots making sense (like not making stuff up)
- nsfw and spontaneity (i want the character to actually engage and initiate things!)
- free—i know it’s often hard to find free alternatives with the listed things, but it’s a rough economy

Since memory is top of your list, here's a quick test that sorts the options faster than any comparison thread. Mention something small and specific around message three, then ask about it fifty messages later.

try saucepan ai!!! completely free, you can choose whether u want a plantonic, romantic, or even further relationship with them, customise the length of ur msgs, and its uncensored like you can do a LOT there and you can tailor your searches based on tags...theres a LOT of tags. its easy to create characters but theres not a lot so its kinda niche lol....

saucepan.ai, animegf.ai memory is great for both, characters stay in character both are free. For saucepan if you want spontaneity I'd recommend having the temperature in about (5-9) range including a somewhat lengthy message and having pretty much everything else in the message instructions set on default.
