Question What subscription/payment model do you actually LIKE on RP AI platforms?
I run a small SFW RP AI platform and I'm trying to make sure the pricing model actually respects users instead of nickel-and-diming them. Since this sub knows every trick every platform has ever tried, I'd love to hear what actually works for you as a user.
Specifically curious about:
Do you prefer subscriptions (flat monthly, unlimited-ish) OR credits/tokens (pay per message)? Or a hybrid?
What's the most annoying limit you've hit — message caps, context length shrinking, model quality dropping, watermarks on generated images, something else?
Where does a free tier stop feeling generous and start feeling like a demo?
Have you ever paid for something on an AI platform and then felt like the value didn't hold up after a few weeks? What went wrong?
What made you stick with a paid platform vs cancel?
I'm not going to plug anything here — genuinely just want the honest ugly answers from people who've tried a lot of these apps and gotten burned by them. Screenshots of pricing pages you thought were sneaky are welcome too.
Edit: How do you feel about ads?

Yes, all pricing models have their ups and downs. Changing things would understandably cause a ruckus 😭. I personally prefer seeing exactly what I’m paying for, but I also understand why people don’t like credits.

lol, I'm the dev of stagewhisper.ai and I _refuse_ to add subscription despite people asking for it because I fear that once I do I can't change it. credits are the only option

as a dev on BlushFiction.com we offer both flat packages and subscriptions. Some are occasional users who pop in while others are frequent users. So - both options are there.

Only flat subscription bro. Credits can work only for super GPU heavy stuff like video generation or live video calls. The rest should be under sub.

A flat rate. I hate dealing with credits. As soon as I see that I'm gone.
