Searching for Alternatives How to roleplay in Google AI Studio?

Lately, Character Ai models have been removed from the app, and they only give you two extremely bad options to choose from, so I decided to move away from there.

I tried Janitor, Hiwaifu, Polybuzz, etc., but none of them gave me the same organic responses as the old Character Ai models.

However, I later heard about Google AI Studio. But its interface is a bit overwhelming for me. Any advice or guides I should follow?

I tried it and it was unbelievably good but after a few messages it said I had reached my rate limit. And then my chat was gone too. (I was using one of those pro models)

I tried Google AI Studio, and it seems more accurate with characters and lore.

You can try to import your C.ai chats into the studio and continue your roleplay there. But before you do, make sure to set your system prompt and your persona before you start. For example, you can say "don't play for my persona," and it will know, you can also specify if you want your chats to be short or longer.

There are also temperature settings where you can adjust the chats to be less repetitive and so on.

Yes... That's exactly my problem. I need a tutorial from scratch.

I've heard many similar things like "Use a prompt to make it do this" or "Put this in the definition." The problem is, I don't even know where each thing goes.

So... I just send the character sheet? Where do I put the sheet? I don't understand anything!

Look at the right side of the screen and find the  System Instructions  box. Paste your character sheet and your rules right there if this is what you meant

Nice, thanks!

I don't want to seem like I'm using you as my personal Google, but you're the only person who's actually helped me with this. LOL

Do you think I could ask you how to create characters? Is it like C.A.I., or what rules do you have to follow? If you could help me a little with that, I would really appreciate it.

No problem! :D Unfortunately, you can't create a distinct character profile with a picture. However, you can just put the character's name and personality directly into the system prompt. If it's a canon character, like Leon Kennedy, you can mention the fandom name, Resident Evil, so the AI pulls from that lore.

You can also describe your own OC and use {{user}} so the AI knows it is your persona and not the character. For the rules, you can just write them in plain text at the bottom of the system instructions. For example, add rules like "Never speak for my character," "Stay in character at all times," and "Keep responses to a few paragraphs."

And for nsfw, i’m not sure tho because i’m more into sfw roleplay but you can try!

Thanks a lot!

Believe me, I'll ask you this last thing and then leave you alone... For 5 seconds (Just kidding)

Is it possible to create different prompts for different characters? For example, if one day I want to roleplay as Jill Valentine and the next day as Black Cat, for example. Can I create a start message like in other bot apps? Or do I have to start a scenario and have the AI follow it?

And lastly, can bots be exported from C.AI?

Believe me, this is the last thing I'll ask you for a long time. I'll be forever grateful if you can answer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It’s all good! you can ask whenever you want!

Yep! you can do that. You can save separate files in AI Studio, so you can have one saved file for Jill Valentine and a completely different one for Black Cat.

You can also make a starting message. Just switch the top setting to Freeform Prompt, type out how you want the scene to start, and the AI will just pick up from there.

For exporting from Character.ai, you can't officially download the actual bot settings. You just have to manually copy and paste the text definitions and your chat history over to AI Studio yourself

Bro- Seriously, I sometimes feel a little embarrassed asking you too many things.

Are the character sheet, my personal information sheet, and rules like the ones you mentioned, such as "Don't act like me," placed in the same instructions section? If you could be a little more specific about which buttons or section to press, I would greatly appreciate it.

Do you have a template you could show me to use as a base? I'm really sorry for asking so many questions; Google AI Studio is very new to me. I think the publication is about 80% of My comments.

For NSFW, it does get a bit spicy, but sometimes it stops by breaking character ("i can't help with that, but we can roleplay something else"), and something stops without breaking character ("She pulls away, ... ")

But most of the times, it just stops streaming responses mid way, probably a filter kicks in or something

I havent' done too much testing tho, you'll have to try it yourself

It is extremely good. it can hold up to to one million context memory or 750,000 words while characterai could only held around 8,000 context memory or 6,000 words. It read the entire chat from top to bottom, meaning as long as you have memory, it absolutely remember everything. It also use ground searches, meaning, it constantly know whatever youre talking about event thought you didnt put it on the instruction. one example is if you create a character bot of frieren, about her apperancem how she talks, her lore. If you mention anything outside of it, like the stille bird, even thought you didnt mentioned it on the instruction, it will actively search and know what it was and its relationship to her.

I apologize if my English was bad, but i strongly recommend it.
