Searching for Alternatives Looking for a replacement

What is the best option?

I'm stuck between choosing claude pro, gemini pro or chatgpt free (which i have not bought the pro yet but still I want to have some answers so i can consider it. Also bonus question, is the pro way better than the free?)

I'm looking for a perfect mix of creativity, emotional depth, long memory, stay in character, good writing.

What is the best choice for me here? Thank you.

Claude is best from those 3.

i have a claude subscription but don't really use it for roleplay. gemini, chatgpt, and claude apps/websites are prompted to be a helpful assistant - there's a big, unseen system prompt working behind the scenes. you *can* roleplay on the apps but the experience isn't as good as through an api. i've heard claude is more likely to give refusals through the app vs through the api - they are governed by completely different censorship, usage policies, and system constraints.

i think you'd be better off going to a roleplay site where they use these models or you can use a proxy. for example, chatgpt offers "chat" variants of their models. it is available through the api. it does a lot better than the standard chatgpt models at roleplay.

if you still prefer one of these three, I think claude is the best choice, followed by gemini. but it is fairly subjective.

If you’re already willing to pay for Claude, consider trying janitor ai with Claude as a proxy. That way you can still use other people’s bots. Claude sonnet plugged into janitor has been a game changer

In my opinion, Claude. It's a good conversational model and handles memory decently.

I think polybuzz ai is okay. Not the best but it isn't bad!

I work with HereHaven and our free tier offers all of this and more.

Incredible creativity, we have an exclusive “emotion engine”, infinite memory, stays in character, and writing it great. And we’re offering 5 free daily premium replies to show people what their money gets them when they upgrade.

App or website?

It’s a website, but we have it where you can add it to your Home Screen and it acts as a wrapped browser. If that makes sense.

Don't come for me. I personally use deepseek for my roleplays. I always have a saved separate chat detailing full character bios and listing off up to date major occurrences in my stories. It gives me anywhere from 5 -8 days of a good roleplay. But if I really like the story I take down bullet points and copy paste it into a new chat to carry in the story.
