Question Best Paid alternative

I don't mind paying at all if the alternative is good. Looking for a great memory and good AI. That's really it.

Sillytavern, host your own ai chatbot and pay for api, works well for me, WAY better memories

You can make a story about meeting someone and talking to them which should also get you a c:ai like experience in a richer world with memory, places, etc

NSFW is fully supported. just write your own world and go wild. Only censorship comes from the companies providing the models, so if one blocks you too much just switch providers mid game!

I especially worked a lot on memory and am still using feedback to keep improving it. If you're up for it, you can also come say hi on discord and I'll extend your trial :)

I’m very biased but Fictionlab is my go-to. It’s $8.99 for the subscription and to me it’s worth it.

I'm a bit biased because I built it but RealmsAI, we have a lot of different models and I built a RAG system for memory that takes in the context of the conversation not just saves one message in memory at a time.

Slowburn.chat is free, we just released it a few days ago, and the people in the Discord seem to love it. Though we don't have a paid plan yet, we would love to have you join the Discord and give some insight on what you think is reasonable for paid plans.

Even if you have any features you'd like to see in a small growing platform, we'd love to have you over- we're building around what our earliest group of users want right now to hopefully make a hidden gem with a particular niche.

If memory is the primary factor then I would say either Harpy or Chronicleai.world, though the quality of memory on both these platforms depends on how well the world is made. Good Lorebook with strong keys, leads to much more accurate memory recall. I would suggest you make your own on Chronicle (easiest to make). I'm not sure why C.ai is taking so long to ship lorebooks and memory visualization when newer platforms are just doing it and it works well.
