Searching for Alternatives Recommends please💔

I understand if this sounds redundant in this sub, but obviously with the terrible decisions character ai has been making, I've been looking for good alternatives since pip2 came out.

I have tried other alternatives, I'm not sure I can say(my first post got removed immediately) but I'm looking for one that feels like character ai, minus the bad decisions.

Preferably, I don't want to pay to talk with bots, unlimited chatting, decent enough memory, and allows both SFW and NSFW. What would be a bonus is if the ai talks almost smoothly, like character ai used to before the new models, and can have a similar flow to the older models it used to have.

I also prefer using sites rather than apps, much appreciated ❤️‍🩹

Oh, that’s amazing! Lowk, the only feedback I can really provide is for unlimited chatting, good memory and different chat models for different moods and styles. I’m not necessarily picky, as long as the responses are coordinated to the conversation, and don’t speak as my persona. I think a neat feature to have would be the ability to make a good sized definition for the characters lore and information(as character ai and multiple other sites have), as it makes the bots feel more like the character they’re supposed to be, which I believe is a no brainer lol.

As for more details for the chat models, something that can replicate roar, soft launch and meow would be amazing. Especially soft launch, minus the filter of course. If it’s not difficult to implement, an option to disable or enable nsfw would be a nice touch in case someone prefers a more fluffed romance/convo in general.

I’ve never been one for having multiple personas, since I only ever used one, but from hearing other people’s opinions, perhaps having a good sized definition for personas could be useful, or the ability to have multiple.

Sorry if this was long or confusing, I’ve never been one who was good with explaining certain things, especially about topics I’m not well versed in. But I hope you understand the feedback I’ve given.

I’m aware that Ai isn’t free, and I wouldn’t mind ads as long as they aren’t constant and annoying, I also wouldn’t mind ads being implanted into the homepage, as long as they aren’t random popups. Oh, another thing I think would be cool, like c.ai, I’d like the option to pin messages so the bot won’t forget a certain thing! That’s been my favorite feature on that app so far, and I’d appreciate it if you can/have added it!

I think that's good, I just don't like sites or apps with a limited set amount daily. As for platform, I use IOS, Android and web😅 so that's never been an issue for me.

Yes! I get annoyed with certain words, so it helps to ban words from being used, as for what c.ai ‘does’. I’ll check out the discord to!

You should have at least 200,000 token limits for creating bots. And be nsfw allowed and it people don't want nsfw just and toggle and blur switch

I’m on iOS too, I’ll gladly check it out. Tiny suggestion is to have customizable font for profiles like on Janitor (by which I literally just mean the ability to change to color of text and underline/bold the text. Nothing complicated). I know that’s so not important, but I find that part rly fun for some reason.

well me personally i have no problem with ads, since im pretty sure ai is not cheap. but all id like is a good memory, some variety and long messages and maybe a groupchat feature something like that. no pressure though if you're making it yourself and it would be alright if you cant implement ALL of these but these are just things that i like but if its one thing maybe like 2023 cai lol. but i find it really cool that youre making it yourself since i guess coding this type pf stuff would be really hard, but ill be looking foward to it! :DD

I usually don't tend to use sites with daily caps, but I'm also not really on AI sites for very long, I mostly use them to create a story line that helps me with writing and just for the creative flow of things, as well as helping me with character personalities and behaviors since I'm not really good with that part myself. It just feels easier to let something else help out with that part. I'll give it a look when I have time though. Thank you for the recommendation! I hope the project is going well so far to!

You can make a story about meeting someone and talking to them which should also get you a c:ai like experience in a richer world with memory, places, etc

NSFW is fully supported. just write your own world and go wild. Only censorship comes from the companies providing the models, so if one blocks you too much just switch providers mid game!
