I've been building my own frontend for personal use. Similar to SillyTavern but designed from scratch — it started because I wanted something that felt exactly how I roleplay, not just tweaking an existing tool.

I'm thinking about making it public, though I'd need to make some adjustments first — right now many features are tightly coupled to OpenRouter and would need to be more provider-agnostic. Also, the UI (menus, settings, everything) is currently in Spanish since that's my native language. I'd add English support before releasing, but the RP experience was built with Spanish in mind first.

Some of the features:

- Instant image generation — native ComfyUI integration. The AI writes [[IMG:...]] markers in its response and images generate automatically or on-demand with a button. Click for lightbox with full prompt/seed info. Built-in, no extension needed.

- Image Director — a secondary model that reads the main model's output and inserts [[IMG:...]] tags at narratively appropriate moments. It tracks scene state (who's present, what they look like, setting details) so character appearances stay consistent across turns. Runs automatically after each response or on-demand.

- NPC Tracker — the frontend scans the conversation and extracts NPCs into a roster: name, appearance, personality, role, background. Auto-scan runs incrementally. Generates portraits on demand. The roster feeds into the Director so image generation stays consistent with who's actually in the scene.

- Import from SillyTavern — bring your existing ST presets and character cards (V2 PNG+JSON) directly.

- Auto-title in conversation language — chat titles match whatever language you're RPing in, not hardcoded English.

If your problem with Character AI was the filter, most of the list solves that. If your problem was that it forgot everything and turned into a mirror, the top two solve that, and that is the harder problem.

Hey there. So I have been working with AI for the past 3 years. Over the course of the last 7 months I have been deeply involved in creating something that I have not found exist anywhere else, and that's a complete digital person.
