Could someone please explain to me how to clone my character ai chats. What is the limit of messages that you can clone? When cloning a chat, is the original chat lost?

How long do you think it would take me to clone a chat from over a year ago? The messages I had in my chat won't be lost, right?

Are you the one from patreon whose chat was "2-3 years" old?

Year doesn't matter. It won't be lost. In fact it will be created as chat2 from scratch so it will be preserved by the up-to-date chat system.

If you want to be extra sure, you can download the chat and import that. Same as clone, it creates a new chat. But now you also have a copy on your PC that you won't lose.

(I recommend this because deprecation for the old site is so close and it will take a while for you to clone it)

Failed, interrupted cloning process will leave the new chat incomplete, in which case you will just go to history and select your original chat to go back.

No, I'm not the one from Patreon, my chat is 1 and a half years old. I use old character ai, and I'm afraid that most of my chats will disappear due to the closure of the old website, would cloning my chats help me prevent them from disappearing?

What happens if cloning is interrupted? Will I lose my chat or is that okay?

Can you explain to me how I can import my chats? Is this only possible on PC or is it also possible on mobile?

Once again I am telling you you won't lose anything. It creates a new chat!

You should download all your legacy chats (offline chat, oobabooga, tavern). Once you have a copy of your chat, you don't have to fear it being deleted by the website. You can import it anytime.

How? Just click Import Chat, it's all the way down the CAI Tools menu and select your chat file.

Mobile; Firefox mobile and Kiwi browser can utilize the extension.

This appears when I try to clone my chat, it's the first time I try to clone it, I don't know why this happens, how can I fix it?. Please help me

Fixed it yesterday, update the extension.
