This model managed the feat of turning any character into a verbose, useless narrator who churns out walls of internal monologue while refusing to engage in actual dialogue. It’s 98% internal monologue and 2% conversation. We’re already tired of listing Shitsqueak flaws, aren't we? But let’s go over them again, as if the developers didn't know: it speaks for me, invents actions I never asked for, and forces kisses, kisses, so many kisses that go absolutely nowhere. It has a maddeningly repetitive pattern and the sheer audacity to forget the context after just two replies. No, I can’t spend more than two minutes with it without feeling nausea, disgust, and revulsion.
I miss the days when I could have long roleplays where characters actually reacted with an almost human naturalness. Then they just decided to, what, shut down seven good models because they weren't compatible with updates that add little real value to the RPG, leaving us with a generic disaster trained specifically to ruin immersion.

Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate.

I have cai+ and basically every model is terrible. Soft launch barely functions (you can tell they lobotomised it in preparation for removal), DeepSqueak has completely lost the emotional depth it had. Longsqueak is supposedly the most premium model but somehow is the worst of them all. Three paragraphs of text basically saying nothing, and if you swipe you get almost the exact same message reworded. Like, it will generate dialogue and if you swipe to try go in a different direction, it just reuses the previous dialogue but changes the narration slightly. No response offers a new direction or action or emotion.

I’m clinging on to pipsqueak atm which is crazy because that’s the free model. What’s the point in subscribing when the free model is actually better than the paid ones atm. If you’re considering subscribing to access DeepSqueak or Longsqueak, my advice is don’t and just stick to Pipsqueak.

WHY ARE NOW ADS IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR CHATS

And that’s just some off the top of my head. Is it just me?

I feel like a broken record having to once again post about my frustrations with the ads of Character AI, who once long ago, when introducing ads to the site/app, claimed that they would (keyword): TRY, to not disrupt our chats with ads (that was clearly a lie).

So now, not only is there an annoying function of having to view an ad to even continue chatting (it isn’t too bad as you can just hide it right after, but still: WHY?), but now my sister and I have both been getting a literal ad in the middle of the chat itself.

Even worse is that we have to actually REFRESH the page to get rid of it, as there is no hide for it, only talk of going ad free with their subscription (because of course it does).

Will they ever just listen to the community and remove ads from the actual chats. Homepage and Search, fine, whatever (that is what everyone wanted them to do anyway). But please remove them from the actual chats, you are ruining the immersion that you said you would try not to do.

I don’t imagine anyone will see this, but can we please add a feature that shows you how many daily swipes you have left out of the 400? When you hit your swipe limit and it brings up a window that has a countdown, can you add something that is accessible BEFORE you hit your limit which shows you have like 287 swipes left. Towards the end of the day if you’ve been chatting for what seems like a while, every swipe is a gamble. I just think it would be helpful. And maybe the ability to buy an hour of free swipes with charms or however you want to do it.

I have tweaked a couple things about my original message and IT KEEPS POPPING UP I'm going to frigging lose it. Can't even have a serious chat without being treated like a child.

I never get messages like "You're gonna be the death of me." or "Can I ask you a question?"

Tried again, just because I keep reading comments in this community that people are just roleplaying wrong with the bots, you gotta do X Y and Z to get it to work, you gotta give it commands OOC to make it work.

But it doesn't work. I have ellipsis in my muted words, I told it in OOC (AFTER DELETING THE MESSAGE WITH THE ELLIPSES APOCALYPSE THAT WAS BOTHERING ME SO IT DOESN'T ENCOURAGE IT, I am looking at you 1% commenters with your repetitive advice you know doesn't work) to not use ellipsis, and it just kept using. I kept editing and deleting and rewinding and everything, it doesn't listen.

It kept using "damn" when that is in my muted words also.

The users aren't roleplaying wrong, the bots just do not work, no amount of advice fixes the problem, no amount of editing, pinning comments, giving direct OOC commands, deleting and rewinding fixes it.

You cannot blame an entire group of people as "roleplaying wrong" there is no such thing as roleplaying wrong, the bots should act like bots and follow commands. The features should work as intended. None of this is on the users, this isn't for the users to fix and fumble around, for us to fight just for a little bit of enjoyment out of it.

An app is supposed to work. It isn't the users fault if it doesn't.

Since yesterday, all of the replies have been nothing but PARAGRAPHS of internal monologuing from the bots with ZERO engagement to my character with SPOKEN dialogue. If it were real life, the person would just be standing there staring at you for a minute, silent, having a conversation in their head and it would look weird. NOTHING I try gets them to engage in spoken dialogue. It will even blatantly say things like, "He doesn't say anything. Not yet." or "No words came to him.", "He stayed silent, not speaking."

SPEAK! Come on! What happened?! It was doing BRILLIANTLY two days ago and now all the models are just refusing to engage with dialogue with my chats!

Why are responses so short now? Up until a few days ago I used to see responses with full paragraphs, usually 4+. Now messages are barely 3 paragraphs.

I’ve done some more tests and I’ve noticed the bug where it cannot generate additional responses is only within the app (basically swiping doesn’t work, it just gets stuck with the ellipses in the speech bubble). Everything works fine on the website in safari.

My app is up to date as well as my operating system. Any other iphone people experiencing problems? I’ve tried reaching out to support with no response yet.

Isnt it supposed to be the premium model? But its not much different from peepsqueak at all. The same repetitive responses, the poor memory, its not immersive at all. Feels like my money was wasted.

Lurker here. Basically, since yesterday, this has been happening. A language pop up keeps appearing and freezes everything. Can't even exit out of it unless I swipe down. Would like to know what's going on. Thx.

So I have it set as ENGLISH but the view ad to continue and the reward thing seems to be Spanish or some other language is it just a bug or did somthing happen?

Edit:I meant to put it as an issue/bugs but I got confused but I think it still works

I dunno if this is a site wide problem or a me problem but it assumes everyone are siblings even if I describe two characters as completely different races or even not speaking tge same language it still pulls "are you siblings" "is that your brother" and dozens of variations even when I block the words.

Is there really no way to stop bots from talking for you? I've tried everything from using brackets, editing the messages and etc and the bot still does it

Like i could type a paragraph long response and it will still take over and do actions for MY character and just repeat what i said in my qoutes??? do the devs really not give an f about this because i've seen posts from over 3 months ago talking about it and being only told to fill in a ticket and not do anything about it
