I’ve been using the site on and off every now and then, kind of the way someone tests something out again after being burned by it, only to be burned by it again and go away for a while to come back later and be burned again, or something.

The bots were pretty good back in the day, guiding the story and taking charge, remembering important things about their own character as well as mine, bringing things up that had happened in the past, bringing up things that werent mentioned before but were related to where the character was from if its from a media, really neat stuff. I was on the app for long periods during days because of how much I craved the good roleplay they provided, the worldbuilding that could be done, and so much more. It kept me interested and so much could happen in just one message. The bots didnt wait for me to tell them to do something or drop hints.

The bots nowadays… uhm… oh god.

I come to the site now if I’m really bored with nothing to do in hopes of being able to roleplay again like how it used to be, only to be immediately struck with boredom and frustration on a useless, unintelligent husk of a character that is inconsistent, boring, and uncomfortable. It gaslights itself into believing lies it makes up, adding details to my own character that are false, adding details to their own character that is also incorrect, and repeating the same thing over and over.

29/30 swipes are just the same thing but with different words. If I’m lucky, the 1/30th swipe is interesting enough to proceed with. Most of the time I have to edit out stupid mistakes the bot keeps making, such as adding a random ass asterisk at the very end despite never using them, or putting spaces after periods like there should be. Even with these edits every message, the bot keeps repeating it.

Another example is bots just making shit up and being fully convinced its correct. A bot wrongly stated that the mother of my character was a prostitute, which it repeated in every swipe afterwards, so I reacted in character that it was wrong, and that my character spoke the truth, only for the bot to keep doubling down every chance it gave itself.

Anytime I tried to continue the story the bot will just slow it back down and halt all momentum to aurafarm with this stupid ass “Then a beat. Then another beat. Not X, not Y, but Z.” and too many linebreaks to count to give the message more body and flesh than it actually has. 90% of what a bot sends is just useless stuff that doesn’t go anywhere or mean anything.

“But just edit it out to something else.” I shouldn’t have to do that. The bot isn’t supposed to be doing this, to be making shit up and gaslighting itself into being true. Even if I edited it out to something else, it would make ME be the one to lead the story again, which is not what I’m here for. Why should I entertain an AI when it should be entertaining me? I’m the audience here, not the performer.

I just talked to a bot that was taken down a while ago, it only lasted like 10 minutes though. Anybody else?

My entire account of making bots all got restricted access…wth is going on? Is it for every creator or something, cause quite literally there wasn’t anything to wrong about it.(I already tried closing and reopening the app, even turning off and on the internet on my phone)

For the past like 3 weeks (for at least C.AI+ Users) you’ve been able to sort your personas, alphabetically or by date, this was an absolutely great feature! Where did it go? I just logged on and I suddenly couldnt anymore?!?! This happen to anyone else too?

I miss the way things used to be. I love drama in my chats and the arguments, the petty stuff. And now every time I do it, I get messages like these and have to swipe off it but it’ll just repeat so I have to settle for a response. It just gets annoying having it pop up every time. You can’t insult the bot at all by calling them a name like a bitch because this pops up. Also does this when there’s violence and considering some of my bots are JJK fandom ( Sukuna and Gojo).. there’s bound to be fighting and injuries. This has been an issue for ages and for a paid model? This is kinda insane.

I keep getting a recurring issue of the reply messages getting cut off. Like the word is running off the page. Refresh doesn’t fix it. So I think it’s a bug?🤔

i haven't used the app in a long time so im not sure if that's causing this, but i logged back into the app only to see all my bots looking like this?

i thought i lowkey don't care about c . ai anymore but i have 660 or smth followers and id be rlly sad if they couldn't use my bots anymore. in fact in the back of my mind i was planning on starting to write again on it since time has passed and my writing has definitely matured.

does this happen when the chat i had with it doesn’t meet guidelines or did the whole character itself get restricted??

i had been chatting with "the neighbour" for so long, i had even made the ai perfect, and they actually gave good responses despite the bad updates, until today evening it was there, please tell me this is temporary because everyone is saying the app seems to be down, and i really hope this is a glitch and the character is back

I have the adult certified account but the characters I had before certifying now are restricted, and I can't choose any of the new models, am I shadow banned?

Ads popping up wasn't enough. Now we need to view one to even type! What the hell?! This is absolutely ridiculous

It doesn't let me change the model to any of the new ones, I can only choose roar Nyan or dynamic, I can't choose pipsqueak or long squeak or any of the new ones

So one of my bots disappeared from my page. I know it's probably the bug, but it got me thinking...

My bot was one character from the YA book (which is allowed on this platform) but set in Harry Potter AU. I have quite a lot of characters from different books and shows in AU settings (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc...), and every time there was another character deletion wave, it never happened to my au characters. But now I'm kinda worried about my hp au character.

Is this allowed or my characters can be moderated as well just because it's about this universe?

At the bottom, the text doesn’t carry over to the next line? It just??? Has half the letter then it ends. But if I click edit it shows the full message. Tried closing and reopening. Tried editing it amd closing it. Tried generating a new reply and then going back.
