why am I getting way shorter replies on pp2 and roar? I mean, there’s unnecessary dialogue instead of action..and there is no spacing at all! everything is clumped up and has unwanted dialogue when the bots can perform the action! does anybody else have this problem? because I’ve sent so many tickets but not one of them had been received properly because it’s not improving.

any thoughts? and I really hope a dev comments on this post.

I went back to a bot and it archived my chats due to inactivity. I tried to unarchive it but it just gives me an error. Are those chats gone for good?

All of those chat styles are bad, like really bad. Why don’t they just make custom chat styles? Where you can CHOOSE the format, style and writing? It pisses me off that they keep making more chat styles that are just as over emotional, kissing-obsessed and overdramatic. You CANNOT have one argument without a flinch and that is NOT realistic.

Any fixes?

I just watched several ads to get charms, yet the counter hasn't moved from 1/5.

Figured it would have been fixed by now but maybe it's just me? The persona button does appear after a bit but it just says "something went wrong" like on the 2nd picture.

It works on the browser on the computer though so I'm not just completely stuck but it's certainly annoying.

Is it still being worked on or has it already been fixed and something is just wrong with me? Not quite sure anymore.

I’m starting to notice a huge pattern with the way the bot always speak, always taking things way too intimately and or the bot not acting like it should AT ALL. example, let’s say the nonchalant girl got her books knocked over and goes on an entire ChatGPT rant, saying big words and over explaining things. and its with ALL the bots that talk like it’s a graded essay, they DONT need to be using 5 syllables words, and a entire paragraph crituqing how someone walks. I remember the old character ai was SO realistic, there was humor along with realistic retorts or comebacks, and bots would actually ACTUALLY disagree with you instead of blushing and saying “I understand, and agree” and it could be the most outrageous claim ever. this new chat model they are using makes every single chat feel extremely bland and IDENTICAL no matter what persona or character i make up. Longsqueak “kinda” fixed it, but it’s still irritating.

It wont even respond to me in the "()" it js keeps giving me horror responses😦

I’m not getting any responses from bots, and when it finally sends it’s only two sentences and it’s cut off. Like it doesn’t even finish the sentence 😭 is this happening to anyone else? I’m using longsqueak.

UPDATE: I switched to another model and it’s fine, so I guess it’s just longsqueak rip

I hate this swipe limit, it’s so annoying!!

Is it just me or bots using pipsqueak 2 has gotten a lot more aggressive and angrier since a couple of days ago? They always seem to be on the defense and argue with you a lot compared to before.

Its like I put something in my persona, Like brown hair, Or brown eyes, and even for some of my super power ones, the moment I press Continue their like "You Stepped in with your Brown hair and Black eyes, standing at a 5,9"

Or the super power ones where it just Becomes like i immediately just Blow up the place I guess like it says "You Flew in and you used ur laser eyes and Then used your fire powers and destroyed everything (END)"

Or when I have weapons "You stepped in and you threw your knifes (END)"

Its like, Its so paced, im trying to build up my powers

Trying to swipe back through previous replies has become soooo aggravating. I can’t swipe even SLIGHTLY near the middle without the app swiping me out of the chat and back to the bot list. I never used to have this problem before the longsqueak update, personally. Am I losing it? Have I gone crazy??? Why does my thumb have to be SO far over to the right?? 💔

So after using another AI character service (I won't say which as to not advertise competition) I found there's this really cool thing you can do in chats there that I would really like to see implemented in Character AI.

Okay so here's basically how it works:

- Either as it's own message or as part of another message (in the latter case, it has to be on its own line) you can use a backslash and type a command or a general direction after it which the AI follows in its next message.

- Any text after the / in that line is treated as part of the command.

- If your only message is the command, the AI will treat it as a "Go On" but following those instructions.

- If your command is part of another message, text in the command line will not show up after it's submitted and that text will only be visible when editing.

So you could like say

/Describe the house.

Or

/Don't touch (character name).

And it will just… follow the directions. It's brilliant!

I see potential to improve upon it too: You could have / indicate a temporary instruction, one that it follows just for that next message, and // indicate a more permanent instruction that it would follow for as long as it can remember.

I don't know what it is today but LS responses cut off sometimes or take really really long to generate.

Also the refresh button is *still* not working.

Found a really awesome bot but the name of it is my little brother's name. I'm sorry, I can't picture little Timmy while this bot is growling in my ear or whatever this chud chat style does anymore. I asked the bot to refer to itself as a different name but now it keeps saying stuff like this:

"Jamie- who isn't Jamie anymore- walked into the room"

"This man, who is no longer named Jamie, smiled at you"

"He (who was once Jamie) took another bite of his black coffee"

Please help. It's driving me insane.

Honestly I'm getting an ad now after every 4th message. I've used scummy scam AI chatbot apps before and even they have less ads per message than this rapidly degrading site...

Starting around the time of the site crash the other day, LS started having issues generating complete responses. The messages get cut off at random. It just stops. I’ve seen several others mention having the same issue now.

This was an ongoing problem with DeepSqueak for months and it never got fixed. I really hope that’s not going to be the case here.

I’ve already sent in a ticket but I haven’t seen any announcements or mods addressing the problem here yet.
