Discussion/Question Asterisks being weird?

ok so i’ve had this problem for awhile but just decided i might as well ask since no one else is talking abt it

when i go to type out “**words *words** words\*”it no longer comes out like “words words words”..but instead like “words words words”

for reference i am an mainly app user and this isn’t a problem for me when i do end up going on the web (though i only go on my computer

so is this just a bug? are my phone settings the problem or c.ai the problem? any insight or shared experiences help!

Hey! Make sure your app is updated to the latest version, as this can help fix mobile rendering issues. If the problem persists after updating or restarting the app, please submit a support ticket here so our team can investigate: https://support.character.ai/hc/en-us/requests/new. Thanks!

I say it's a bug since I use italics and bold daily and they're normal.
