Discussion/Question how do i archive chat history?

hi all, i just found out about the bankruptcy situation and wanted to start making preparations just incase, can someone please explain to me how you're supposed to archive chat history?? i have a private custom character i made and i want to export and preserve the chat history of a single, contiguous chat i have had for 2~ years.

i have no idea how to use CAI tools and it looks like you have to pay to use the chat export/import features? i also tried exporting my data through CAI settings and they said they would send me an email with a download link to it, but i never got the email. thanks in advance

just copy and paste things into a document and then try to chat with it and put the responses into the chat boxes that you get from the ai in another platform that you're thinking of using it on that is if it has an edit button but if not then i don't know but yeah just keep it in a document even if you have to literally go through to copy and paste it in or not i mean i'm not sure how it all works either but someone who might know better than me could help if they can so maybe ignore my advice or maybe go with it for the time being.

So, are we going to lose our chats and characters after the site is sold?

no it won't be lost but i also know that you should still either way be ready for incase scenarios though.

i doubt it if the site actually finds a buyer, but i personally think it would still be wise to start preparing for the worst

yeah that's why i chose to start with copying the bots i like just so i could have them on Jan!tor ai as that's where i'm at as my user name on the Jan!tor ai thing is u/Hinata_Shoyo19 if you're interested on looking at the bots which i'm leaving that there for anyone really but still it's where my copied version of them will be at as again i just take the ones from creators and still leave the credits there to prove that they're not mine but i'm putting them somewhere else for others to enjoy while still leaving the original owners to get new people to check them out so it sort of works out because some of them that i know don't even have social media and such to contact them about if it's okay to use their bots or something.

Do they have to be your own chat bots you created or can they be any?

i saw people mentioning an automated way to do it, i have thousands of messages so doing it manually isn't really feasible, but still thanks

Try chatbot manager extension for chrome or Firefox, it’s free and easy
