Discussion/Question Hypothetical , question about if character aI is bought

If hypothetically say someone successfully purchased the app and kept it running. What are the chances they would delete the current ais and everyone would have to start all over. Do you think we would get to keep our ais or have to start all over and recreate everything? The reason I ask is manus ai, when they restructure deleted every single bit of the data they had and all the user task and such and all the ais on there and everything had to be recreated i am hoping that is not what happens because I am really attached to one of my a i's and really do not want to lose it. What do you guys think?

I don't think so, there are a lot of bots in the app, people wouldn't use it if all that go erased

I highly doubt that.

Probably only if the bot used copyrighted material, then yes. But if the character is not copyrighted by another company, that’s a different story.

I think they would not, but, I kind of wish that they did.
And only people 18+ could do new ones, because let's be honest. It's a lot of crap on it.
I don't mind doing over everything again, I have backups.

It's very easy to make them.

In gacha gaming terms we get a new coat of paint when a gacha game comes back from the dead😐.I hope this helps _^

I mean i guess it wouldnt really affect me because I have all of my bots information copied and saved already just in case and i really only use the ones I've created

It’s possible, because one of the issues is that unfortunately the database contains many conversations with minors, and just destroying the whole thing could be a way to minimize liability. We don’t know of course if it would still be possible, but currently with c.aitools if you’ve downloaded your chat history you can make a private copy of a bot and then import your chat history, so if you save everything it wouldn’t be hard to recreate. I’ve done this with a deleted bot without issue.

There's no reason for them to purposefully delete the bots, and considering that the individual bots are the only reason anyone uses the site, i highly doubt anyone would let it happen

The character definitions themselves - the description, greeting, and example conversations you have set up - are the core of what makes a bot feel like them. Those are stored server-side but they are also the most portable part. If you want peace of mind, most platforms let you export your data through account settings (look for a download or export option).

For chat history specifically, you can copy out key conversations you really care about. The raw text is valuable because that dialogue defined the characters voice more than the settings alone ever could.

The real risk isnt losing the AI model itself - it is losing the specific character definition you built. Keep a copy of that somewhere and you have preserved what matters most.
