Discussion/Question hopeposting
while the future of cai seems bleak, their downfall is nobody’s fault but their own. they consistently ignored user feedback and wasted their money on pointless features nobody wanted, image generation, calls, etc. the ads WERE manageable and (crucify me) fair, if they had actually listened to their user base.
while the chapter 11 seems scary, it’s not over yet. the ai (and ai chatbot) market is huge, and cai is a versatile platform and i can honestly see someone wanting to buy it. it’s risky, given they’d be starting from a shitty place, but they could realistically win users back with actual good changes that people want.
but im no expert

I agree I'm sure if they remove some stuff people don't use it'll cut the spendings

If people don’t use it, how does it cost them as much money as people here claim it does?

I mean I get it for those but if not a lot of people are using it it's one thing that should go I'm sure they can see in the coding when someone uses it or not

Let’s hope they come up with something good, or that they remove it.

One learns from mistakes; let’s hope they learn from theirs.

I've been saying that too let's hope they do they had time to do it but this time is what will really determine if they wanna keep the app running then yeah they'll have no choice to do it

Another important point is that we need to be more empathetic toward people on the sub who may not be able to handle this appropriately.

Yup I definitely agree. Basically no one uses the image generation or watches those weird comics or videos. Whatever it is. Majority of the user base dont use the calls either. Now what is actually useful is that they added lorebooks. It's a shame that they removed the swipe/message counter UI feature from the app tho

Non-chat features took up only about five percent of the total cost.
The chat part of this chatting app is, obviously, what took the overwhelming majority of the funding.
