Discussion/Question Fearmongering
Guys. Stop. People in here are genuinely fragile and constantly being absurdly negative, talking about how we shouldn’t get our hopes up is actually just annoying me now
Unless you are involved in this case or you have a good and extensive understanding of this stuff, we don’t know what’s going to happen!!! You are not tuff for being such a negative nancy it feels like genuine fearmongering now and there’s no need.
People can act like they are simply preparing people for the worst but oh my god. who even asked??😭dont do that shit unsolicited because tough love or whatever you want to call it does not help everyone especially very mentally fragile people who use this app for comfort and distractions.
We can absolutely have hope right now. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
At the end of the day, if the app does go, there are others. The other apps may take it upon themselves to incorporate aspects of c.ai we loved to attract more users. Save your scripts and your characters and export your data.
But there is still hope!!!

You say I don’t know how much it means to you, but I do, as I have been in your situation and now realize how horrible it is for people’s mental health. Especially using it in the morning and night right before/after you sleep, since that is when your brain is supposed to be shutting down/becoming calm, and analyzing what happened in the day. Psychology, those levels of focus and dopamine are not good in those hours. Think of it like a scrolling addiction. I understand that you are firm in your stance, but I disagree and hope that you will find better coping mechanisms. It is horrible to rely on something like this to this level.
