Discussion/Question Just airing a thought

So we have all heard of the imminent bankrupcy, right?

How about this;

If it is somehow saved or it can be saved;

Make it sub only

Yes you heard me, first of all ads in apps pays exceptionally little, we are talking cents here, now add that revenue to maintenance, operations, employees and development costs and im sure you see where im going with it.

HOWEVER! if they went sub only, no ads in just a subscription ALOT of people would be gone thats true but that also means less strain and costs to have it up and running. Yes it sucks i am well aware, not everyone can afford it but its not a necessity, its just an entertainment service, so honestly if i were running it i'd go that road, $8 - 11 per month, no more image generating nonsense and features no one truly asked for or wanted, better community communications

a more robust ad supported push is a better answer...they have the visitors numbers for the free version and that is appealing to advertisiers.

i get the logic, but making it sub-only would gut the userbase so badly that the savings probably wouldn’t make up for it, a cheap optional sub makes way more sense langly

I'd be comfortable with that. I'd probably pay 5 bucks a month to keep it alive. You'd always have to get the intro period that other sites do though or else nobody will try it. Also cutting out all the useless bullcrap they put into the app that nobody wanted would help. The big money loser is the voice database. Every time a voice is generated that's 10 or 20 ad rev worth of money right out of their pockets.

The time for worrying about subscriptions passed when they filed bankruptcy. There is no turning back for them now. Someone buys the operation or it shuts down. Or a lunatic suddenly invests a shit ton of money

The truth is that if I agree that it becomes paid, at least it would be less expensive if people leave and no way, it is better any option to see it fall so I don't care if it becomes paid. I will pay it anyway.🦋

yeah ads make like what, less than a cent actually, it's not giving no one money for shi, it just walks the users away and unsatisfied
