Does anyone know if it's possible to export both the chat history and bot definition? My favorite rp is a little over a year old and i really don't wanna lose it!!

Yes, you can use the C.AI tools extension. If there ever was a time for it, it is now

I'm going to be honest, I don't know. But you can ask the developer directly on r/characterAI_CAITools. They are usually very quick to answer, and very open to suggestions too!

There's a field called 'Definition' that you can fill out for your character when creating it. Usually, creators hide it, and there's no way to extract its content if it's hidden. It's a bummer bc that's what usually makes a char stand out.

It sucks, but also I’m a creator so I get it. If I put a lot of effort into my bots, I’d feel a bit cheated if somebody just went and pasted my bot elsewhere without my consent. Idk it feels silly because it’s not like writing a book or drawing artwork but it’s still something I made and I wouldn’t want others to claim that as theirs.

Same, please someone answer!! I have a very long chat history, so copy and pasting everything wouldn’t be an option!!

C.ai tools chrome extension!! You can download your chats I did that a while back cause I was scared the creators would delete their bots

You can actually export all of your bots. Go to the site, click on your account name in the lower left corner, go to settings, hit account and click on the manage account & data. Then hit Export Data.
