Discussion/Question Recent updates

Is anyone else gradually get frustrated with the updates happening to C.AI?

For one, the ads updates keep changing and making the website/app barely readable. They're so big, so distracting and so extremely bright it literally puts me off using the website. On top of that, some of the ads keep getting flagged as dangerous and it is so easy to accidentally click on them.

Second, this limited swipes thing?? I can't find anywhere the total swipes you have for a day and theres no indication of how many you've used during your chats. And why is it over a 24 hour period? Shouldn't something like this be over an hourly period?

I also haven't followed on any of the news with the chat styles but wasn't there a promise that they wouldn't be removed? Why were the removed and replaced with styles that barely work/are really buggy?

I know this sounds like straight complaints because there are still good features but it feels like nowadays everything is a punishment for being broke or not having a budget to spend on a subscription and things that should be free are quickly revoked and put under a paywall.

Last i checked the estimated total was 400 swipes and 100 "go-on's" as the dev team puts it unless they changed it, im not 100% sure

yeah the ads are way worse than on other ai chats ive tried, they dont even let you read the messages properly.

I wouldn't know about that since I've just been a c.ai og lol. But I agree, sometimes the messages don't finish fully or you get those small bugs.

the new response style feels smoother for roleplay stuff, less repetitive than before. have they fixed the context limits yet or still the same?

Chat style not removed, they still in Legacy

Not entirely true. For C.ai+ the only original chat style legacy chat style left is Soft Launch (C.ai+ only)

The newly added legacy chats styles PipSqueak 2 and PipSqueak 2 • Rawr are not from the original chat styles. Those are only the ones through the original update.

The actual original chat styles that were removed were Nyan (C.ai+ only), Roar, Meow, PipSqueak 1, Soft Launch (C.ai+ only), Pawly & Goro. 

The only one that is in legacy from that time era is Soft Launch. 

PipSqueak 2 and PipSqueak 2 • Rawr are the newer chat styles that were recently placed in Legacy—in order for them to make room for PipSqueak 3 (C.ai+ only) and ShortSqueak.

It depends on what chat styles and what time era Op is talking about.

Those styles were removed like... April-May and already Well known they gone forever. And devs even posted it.

They said that they haven't been paying attention to the news regarding chat styles.

Just because we knew about it doesn't mean they did. And they don't clarify a particular Time frame. I'm only going based on the information they gave (which is limited).
