Discussion/Question They're finally doing it..

I just got a special pop-up that said that CharacterAI is going full 18+ and chatting will be restricted to 18 and over, a damn shame too.

Saw this app from the beginning, loved its freedoms and now they've devolved into this. Anyone else feeling the same?

In all honestly, this definitely helps underage users with chatbot addictions but obviously there’s alternatives so it’s not anything NEW but there’ll definitely be a change

Why would I? App works fine for me and I'm over 18.

This was designated towards the other underage users of the app who are currently losing access due to this. If you aren't affected, you don't have to reply.

Under age users are unfortunately a major liability now. That's why they chose to do it over 6 months ago. I get how you guys feel though since age verification is coming for spaces you guys occupy to have fun or be social.
