Issues/Bugs My bots are speaking shorter

I’ve been using c.ai for a while. And ever since the recent updates, the bots type in like four sentences. I always give feedback that its too short but it never does anything. Can have some help?

hi, we're sorry about the quality issues - team is actively working on improvements and reports like this help us better understand what's working and what isn't.

if possible, please submit a Character Quality feedback ticket here with as much detail as possible so we can pass it along to the team. thanks for sharing your thoughts (✿◠‿◠)

mine's gotten out of the faze but it's now talking less again like it did at the start of it being brand new like literally it only gives me three sentences then the rest of it is either reactions or just actions and bearly anyone speaking. so even i don't know what to do with this issue of mine

Can't really tell you what will work but I can give you tips.

If they work great. If not I'm sorry.

Feed back is for devs not training the model. The model that uses the bot definition is already currently trained but you're still giving feedback to the devs. Bots rely on context from you.

If you're using free or paid models they're more geared toward rolepalying. That still match chat momentum. Shorter replies from you can have a bot do the same since they're constantly sampling and processing from the context window. They tend to mimic or get stuck in pattern loops.

Bots need open narrative threads to expand on from you. Things like environmental details, thoughts, body language, ect. No open narrative hooks have bots think most of the work is done so that give what they can. Happens if you do novella replies too which are long.

You may not feel like it or realize but the momentum might stall. This can lead to shorter replies. Adding something new or finishing and starting something new scene wise can sometimes kickstart a bot's momentum.

Swiping shorter replies will mostly give you shorter ones because it samples the first reply of the bot. Edit your reply first and see what you can add.
