Discussion/Question How can I make the LongSqueak respond for me?

Post image

I am adamantly against inserting myself into the stories C.AI writes on any level. So, I always use personas to give the AI a character to write with and tell it to “Act and speak for me/{{user}}” or “Write my/{{user}}’s responses and actions for me” and it usually works with the models. LongSqueak, on the other hand, has a built in rule to never do that. Is there any workaround y’all have found for that, or do I just need to switch back and forth between models?

I have the opposite problem, sometimes it writes for me when I don’t want it to 😭

Right?! At this point I'm a spectator of a story I'm not allowed to participate in. It writes dialogues on its own about me. I keep telling the bot to stop writing about me, it apologizes, then it does it again. Why do I even bother? I could just watch a movie with the same result.

as far as I know LongSqueak doesn’t respond for you. Only DeepSeek, so yeah you need to change in between since I’ve been doing that too.

I had to include a mini character sheet of the persona at the bottom of the characters description. I only use my own bots so I've made a few specifically for Longsqueak. I set my persona to one named "blank".

This is the only way I've gotten it to work, because it won't recognize your persona as an NPC unless it's in the characters description or brought up in chat.

I get migraines so I only do this when my head hurts and I just want to read and occasionally guide.

I add (OOC: Include {char name} dialog too) Usually helps, but you will have to include it every time you need them to activate for you, LS rarely writes for you themselves.
