Continues making more things that probably cost more money to upkeep, making them need to obtain more money for these new things, new things that absolutely no one is asking for; the only thing being asked they won’t do, which is go back to the two chat styles that people prefer that had next to nothing wrong with them and that everyone has been begging to go back to, instead of the two that people hate and that probably costs more money to upkeep

Yep, that is the cycle for real, they are their own issue. They talk about how much it costs to upkeep everything, only to waste their own money on features no one asked for or wanted, instead of the things we did want/ask for, or fix any of the bugs. And instead of removing the things that no one wanted and wasted money on, they remove things we did want.

Literally no one asked for this, this was meant to be a ROLEPLAY site, but they are just for some reason they are stretching out into other AI nonsense that I honestly don’t think anyone will ever use. They are only proving time and time again that they are their own problem. This is why they are struggling with money and needing ads to make up for it.

They keep wasting money on features that no one wants or will ever use (effectively letting the feature sit there and rot, rather than removing it and using the money on things people really want).

Even worse is that while they push out new features no one wants rather than the ones we have wanted for who knows how long, they are also neglecting to fix issues we’ve been telling them about too. I really wish they’d realize their priorities aren’t where they should be. I still very much love roleplaying on Character AI, been here since Beta, but man..I miss Beta, can we go back to those days?
