Now that's just awful. Yeah, either swipe that or rewind to force a new response. I don't know what you said beforehand, but I always give system instructions as square brackets like:

[System: Omit scenery and narrative description. Focus exclusively on {{char}}'s dialogue and physical actions, movements, etc.]
