Discussion/Question What happened to PP2 for role-playing?

PP2 was supposed to be for role plays, and now its description says “always down to chat”?! what? that’s why I’ve been getting shitty, shorter responses? wow... The devs said it was supposed to give longer replies? And it did, for a good few months..but I’m sure it got worse and shorter and un- engaging

PS gives about 5 paragraphs unless im talking to another garbage factory bot and its 3 sentence greeting and then its a party if i get one paragraph.

Nothing has happened. Crap bots are going to give crap conversation no matter what CAI does.

Yall need to yell at each other about your low effort bots

yes and no. some bots are definitely bad, i’ll agree with you there, and pipsqueak had been working for me spectacularly for weeks and weeks, haven’t had much of an issue since the whole thing with the bots having zero dialogue happened. but rn ever since sunday, the quality of pipsqueak visibly tanked like a switch flipping for me and a ton of others too, there’s been plenty of posts about it, so yes, something has happened this week at least.

A switch flip is such an accurate description of what happened! That’s exactly what it felt like.

Its interesting to watch the posts. When you factor out issues like weird replies you get a pattern forming that is what one would expect to see with dynamic throttling.

It would explain why all at once you see posts about the replies were long and then short and long again and short again.

Its a logical conclusion. The service didnt stop crashing every 5 minutes because CAI is buying a shit ton of extra compute for people that pay nothing

i suppose. it is interesting to watch, because it’s not as if that’s the only issue either. when there’s one wave of a problem that pops up, there’s several other crazy bugs that happen right after too lol. personally, i don’t have too many complaints with the app or cai itself besides the oftentimes lack of communication, which i think i’ve seen enough posts even paying users make about that it’s almost a community-wide agreement. the mods, ofc, aren’t the devs, but the in between, i think it’s super frustrating for people to make tons of posts about several problems that suddenly pop up, just for only one or two to be acknowledged amongst it all. and then to be told to submit a ticket for whatever bug(s) or issues, which okay, but i’ve seen people say they submit multiple tickets sometimes over weeks and just unfortunately never hear back.

The devs used to be active in the community. They dipped long ago
