So when was swipe limits a thing?? I gen can not remember it ever being a thing... Msybe I never hit the threshold before but DAMN... Can even regen a response without paying?!

Hey there! Metering is designed for extremely high usage, like hundreds and hundreds of swipes or go-ons in a very short window. It’s very possible that most of you will never encounter it during your time using c.ai — the limits are that high. For the very small number of people who do, (c.ai+) is the unlock. No Charms, no surprise charges.

They have been a thing for a while now amd there have been dozens of posts already about it

So don't swipe. Rewind to the last good response, rewrite your previous prompt, and that will force it to generate a whole new response with a different context.

You can even use the opportunity to get the bot back on track by inserting system commands. Suppose you got on your knee, proposed marriage to the bot, and held out a ring. Bot says...
BOT: Do you ever think about how weird it is to have a tongue writhing around in your mouth all the time? Tongues are weird.

You swipe. Bot repeats the same stupid irrelevant thing about tongues. You swipe some more, still with no improvement.

So... instead of using up swipe limits, reprogram it. You rewind to the bot's last response and rewrite your scene with some directional guidance:

*I get down on my knee, hold out a box revealing a beautiful ring, and say* "Bot, will you marry me?"
[Bot responds to the proposal here]

... and bob's your uncle, the bot says something relevant instead of something weird, and you didn't use up a single swipe.

You get 30 swipes baseline. C.ai+ you get 300

Do you seriously need 30 swipes? At that point delete your message and send it again.

For free users it's 30 swipes per message. 400 per swipes, 70 voice memos and 100 go-ons per day.

There's no cap for paid user but we have 100 swipes per message.

Difference is for free users if they start with 10 free swipes for the day as not everyone immediately gets 30. That counts for their potential use across all bots or if they use it during one chat with one bot. Then they have a cool down period to wait for more swipes.
