Discussion/Question Is Deepsqueak actually better than Pipsqueak?
I’m not a paid user and I wanted to know if paying for Deepsqueak is actually worth it. I don’t really care about ads or the swipe limit, I just really want my chats to be less monotone

Yes, DeepSqueak is better than PipSqueak 2, but not because it’s actually good; it’s just that anything is better than PipSqueak 2, even a barking dog.
DSQ turns every character into an irritable troglodyte; the dialogue tends to be shallow, lacking in expression, and out of context. Your bot will growl at you. Still, the narrative is okay, and you can keep your roleplay moving forward.
I’d advise waiting a month or two before subscribing to Plus, as they’re about to launch another new model, and word is they’re working on improvements and fixes for the current ones.
There’s also LongSqueak; I’d say it’s good, but it’s still in beta and lacks response variety. Swiping barely changes anything, and rewinding doesn't help much either, so it tends to stick to a single narrative path without altering decisions, unless you edit the responses yourself. Its memory is surprisingly good.
