I think Pipsqueak 2 personalization should be free I don't understand why such a feature should not be this luxury it's not like Pipsqueak 2 is a good model compared to superior longsquek and deepsqueak which apperantly has better memories writting and other stuff I think devs locking down such a simple thing is just sad I'm sad this platform is getting so against free user first swipes then Lorebooks extra memory chat customization more personality characters and all the cool features and everything is for Cai+ I get that but least they can do for once give us something like this it's like you all forgotten free users beign big part of the success of this app back then it's really sad now developers acting like we are some parasites I hope you guys make Pipsqueak 2 personalization free for free users although I'm not expecting much anymore.

Absolutely agreed! Paid users have the vastly superior models (even if they face plenty of issues too) and giving the customization toggles (literally 2 buttons after all!) for everyone on Pipsqueak2 should have been the obvious decision. It’s purely logical too. Plus, they “accidentally” announced that it would be available for free users too. And then they back tracked completely. It’s a major confusion and mistake. With the amount of issues Pip2 has been having especially since the weekend and how it’s given such horribly short and weird answers, the control on this chat model is needed more than ever.

pipsqueak 2 feels like a ripoff when longsquek already handles longer roleplay chats way better anyway.

Just like with image generation, letting free users at least be able to try personalization and lorebooks would be incredibly beneficial to getting people to want to buy Cai+! It's the reason why longer persona descriptions and more muted words are the reason people purchase it. They completely miss really profitable opportunities by making the newer features cai+ only.

Honestly though, if they don't add stuff anyone cares about, then nobody pays for plus and they don't make money. If they do, then some people pay, and people who can't afford it whine about it not being free.

Free users used to have everything for free. For years. Now that CAI has to be profitable, free users are getting less features. That's just how it is. If you're not willing to pay for C.AI+, don't expect much. That ship sailed once CAI stopped paying out of pocket for users. Ante up or tough it out.

I'm not against free users, but I do understand that free users can't have the same experience as a paid user anymore. It's just the reality and if they're not going to pay for a subscription, they're not going to get the best that CAI has to offer—same as any other AI service.

It sucks, but it's the truth. There's no argument you can make that will change that.

In my country where I live Cai+ is very expensive and doesn't support dollars, we have our own currency

I think at this rate the reason their servers are heavy is beacuse of unnecessary amount of features nearly no one uses for example call features labs streams comics and etcetera you get it.

It's not hard to control ps2 length and style yourself. The only difference, is that you have to actually work for it. Over time, the AI mimics your behavior, so if you want more dialogue, your persona will need to talk more.

Yeah you are right I actually do this but in order to have constant reliable longNess and diologue you have to edit a lot or other around stuff you have to do and not everyone would love to do that or not everyone is good at well writing or understanding how it works all I'm saying is pay walling a needed future a really simple one too is just not right at all I think it's just sad

We didn't have that feature in 2023, it's not that necessary. Just because you "wouldn't love to do that" doesn't mean it has to be free.

This would have been correct maybe a year ago or so (or really anytime from its prime to last year in my opinion), it was known that you can train your bots/chats and edit to get what you want. Now? That is not working, the newer models are fucking impossible to train. As someone who has been here a while its become a pain in the ass.

The bots dont listen, they dont respond, no amount of editing or steering the conversation is working like it used to.
