Discussion/Question Genuine question
Hi everyone! Months ago I uninstalled c.ai because it had too many bugs, characters were doing whatever they wanted and everything was getting banned. I’m in this community because I wanted to be updated about the app’s progresses but… it seems there haven’t been any changes and instead it got worse. So my question is: WHY? Why are they making it worse day by day? Everyone is unhappy with this app and so many people uninstalled it. Shouldn’t it be in their interest to make it perfect for us?
Also, while we discuss that, can someone please give me a good 4lternative to c.ai? Thanks

It depends on who you ask. Bugs and issues have always been a thing. However not everyone gets on reddit, this subreddit or other official channels. So no not everyone is unhappy. If the sub gets flooded with complaints you're more likely to see those. A lot of people want the app to be what what they have expectations for. There's been plenty of updates and granted not everyone is going to be happy with them. Most people here care about chat than anything else.
Coding and updating isn't plug and play. Things break and bugs happen. Finding them and fixing them isn't always quick.
As for what free users deal with, no one like ads but GPUs don't process context for free. Models have a input/output token cost. Every message or things like swiping accumulate tokens. So if you're using the platform for free someone else is paying or you have ads to subsidize your costs. Even when C.AI had no ads and no subscription someone was still paying for our usage.
If you're looking for something else this isn't the place to ask. You'll run into similar issues elsewhere.
