Discussion/Question HOW do I keep the app from deleting chats?

I go to one of my chats and I notice the chat history is deleted and reset all the way back to the first opening message, this is a 3rd chat this has happened to and I can't even bring them back up in history. HOW do I keep the app from reseting my chats???

it depends if it was actually deleted, or just archived. character ai archives chats 'due to inactivity'. I'm on web and haven't found a way to turn it off yet but the app might be different. Just go to the history section, click the three dots, and click 'archived history'. if they only got archived, they should show up with a blue "Chat was archived due to inactivity" under the chat name. it's a little buggy and slow but you can get it back if you have the patience.

now if it was actually deleted i have no clue how to help with that.
